Big Bama Barbequewas originated and founded in Philadelphia Pa. by Gregory and Debbie Lynch in 1995. Starting as a church based operation, the Lynch’s Sunday dinner concept took on a whole new meaning when barbeque ribs were introduced.
Their ribs and homemade barbeque sauce gain a widespread reputation causing the demand to skyrocket. They started to cater many church fundraisers, birthday parties, family dinners, and special requests.
In 2005, they went into partnership with William & Thomas Magwood. Together, they designed and built a 23ft state of the art mobile food cart. Equipped with six grills, a pig roaster, 2 smokers, 2 deep fryers, 2 sinks and a refrigeration unit, they were able to expand their menu and services.
Today, Big Bama has been able to accommodate the A. M. E. Annual Conference, The Prince Hall Grand Lodge, The Benevolent Orders of The Elks, The Order of The Eastern Star, The American Legions, Temple University Community Affairs Department, The United States Police Canine Association Region 6, The Buffalo Soldiers M.C., The U.S. Navy Air Fighters Squadron, 1970 Class of the Naval Academy, as well as parades, community and sporting events, special interest groups and families.
